Hi ladies,

I guess you are already looking for the date for this so I thought I would start up the thread.

The IFRD Ride is for the ladies only, but as with last year it would be great if we could arrange a meeting place halfway to catch up with the guys. Salt Spring was fun last year, I haven't figured out a route yet. I will post up details closer to the date.

No worries Mel there are always at least two groups on this type of ride so a speed for everyone and I always wait at the turns for everyone to regroup so we don't lose people. We generally have an experienced rider at the back to ensure everyone is Ok through out the ride.

Thanks for posting Collette, and Bobbi for adding the Sticky. I hope to be back in town by this date to join! If we go to saltspring, I could try and arrange a spa tub party for us!

Glad you can come along. I am just trying to get a feel of what type of ride people want to go on and who long. I am thinking say a 10:00 am start, ride for a few hours then lunch and back in town by 5:30pm-6:00pm.

I was thinking about hitting up some of my favourite back-roads through the Cowichan Valley, Chemanius, Nanaimo for lunch - take the little ferry to the Dinghy Dock Pub and if time permits a little shopping and we can either bomb back down the highway or take some back-roads on the way back as well. We can let the group decide. The guys are welcome to join us for lunch in Nanaimo and ride back with us, but Ladies only for the first section.

Collette
